As soon as the fog lifted today so did my spirits, it has been rainy and gloomy here for over a week. Of course I have been checking out your blogs and looking up recipes and writing down recipes, and that has been in itself rewarding, but I missed the sun and getting outside for that fresh fall air you’ve all been talking about. And, finally, today, I was able to just go out and bask in that sunlight!!! Thank God for his provision. Well, today I opened all the windows and doors and made some banana bread and split pea soup and chopped some cabbage that I got a farmers market for coleslaw. Mind you, we probably wont eat all these at one meal, but I was just in the mood to make those things!! The recipes for the banana bread and split pea soup, I put in my recipe page. I hope you all are having a great fall week. Tell me how beautiful is at your place.

Gorgeous! What state is this?

I live in Hartford, New York, the picture was taken between Whitehall and North Granville, Ny. I am unsure of the name of the road. We are within 12 or so miles from the border of Vermont, near Wells, Vt.

What a beautiful picture! It is so peaceful. I love this time of the year. I just wish we had some apples to pick in Arkansas. Blessings, Diane

Gorgeous photo, Correna! Is that a view from your home or were you out walking? Either way it’s a feast for the eyes! I live in Ottawa, Canada which is just across the Ottawa River from the Gatineau foothills in Quebec. The scenery is much the same and worth driving through to catch the splendour of fall.

Thankyou and you are so welcome. I took the picture not too far from where I live. Fall is beautiful here, but of course winter is coming! Not crazy about that but the other 3 seasons are worth living here in the north country for. Be blessed.

Lovely picture! It’s beautiful where I am too, the mountains are turning from the top down and it’s gorgeous! We had 10 days of rain here and yesterday we had the first day of sun, it was marvelous! Warm, sunny, lovely. I went for a long walk and enjoyed it so much… it might be the last of that kind of weather we see in a while. Take care, dear one! Thanks for sharing your view 😉

Thanks for stopping by and replying, sorry I didn’t sooner, been busy and not home this past weekend. Of course it rained the next day again, but oh well, what are ya gonna do?! I live in Hartford NY, the other side of Granville, which you probably know is the other side of Wells VT. Not sure how far away from you I am but, we get the same kind of weather probably. Have a great day, and oh, I am glad to see you are back and had a good week off. Talk to ya soon.

Beautiful picture…love the great colors …only God can paint such a pretty picture. The soup and coleslaw sounds delicious….not so crazy about the banana bread…not a banana fan. Glad you are enjoying the lovely day. This is the day the Lord has made…let us rejoice and be glad in it…everyday is a good day, but we sure do love the sunny ones, don’t we?
