Jesus is the reason for the season words

Todays Verse:  Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared.  And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.” Matthew 2:7-8

Todays Goal: Todays goal was to take a ride just to look at Christmas lights this evening! I love Christmas lights and it is so fun to just take a few minutes to drive around your town and look at the lights people put up. It’s also a great way to spend a little time with family apart from always being in a hurry to get somewhere. This way you get to take your time and admire the lights! If you see some you especially like, pull over and just sit and stare!! I know I posted this a little late in the day today, but maybe some of you will get to check them out, or maybe you can add it in on another day.

Todays Cookie Recipe:

Chocolate No Bakes

2 cups sugar

1/3 tsp salt

1/4 pound butter

6 TBSP cocoa

1/2 cup milk

Boil 1 minute – full rolling boil

Take off heat

Stir constantly while cooling for 5 whole minutes (This is a must and the trick to making these come out right)

Add 3 cups quick oatmeal and

1 tsp vanilla

Stir good

Drop on waxed paper

DO NOT BAKE

Something special to do:

One thing that makes your Christmas gift just a tad more special, if not a lot more special, and that is to make your own gift tags!! They are fun and they can be simple or elaborate. I made a few to give away along with some cards in a gift box, and they were simple. Here is a link to download some: Delightful Order and here are a few more ideas on tags:

Have you ever made your own gift tags? How did you make them? and were they Christmas tags? Have a wonderful day and again, I apologize for being so late today.

I have to get busy with my Christmas baking and will definitely give some of your recipes a try. TFS! And thanks for the gift tag plug. You are such a sweetheart! Hugs, Tracy

Thanks for liking and stopping by. You are most welcome, I love your blog and enjoy sharing it with others. The thing about the recipes is that they aren’t elaborate instructions, just pretty easy because of how many I do in 2 days, they have to be easy!!! Christmas light are one of my favorites too, I get Scott to go different routes when we go places at night just to see as many as I can!!!
